RYAN PHILLIPPE had nothing but kind words to say about his ex-wife REESE WITHERSPOON's new main squeeze, JAKE GYLLENHAAL, during an interview on HOWARD STERN's show Thursday, reports US Weekly.

"He's a good dude," said the 'Stop-Loss' actor, who added: "I love her [Reese] and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is."

Ryan also acknowledged his 2007 divorce from the Oscar-winning actress, saying that, "leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart...that's a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles."
