The tight-lipped sidekick's act of confidence in Penn backfires.

PENN JILLETTE lost out on "Dancing with the Stars" Tuesday night, and consequently, his magic-and-comedy partner TELLER lost $5,000! According to the Associated Press, the oft-mute Teller bet five grand on his buddy to win the competition.

"I have paid that kind of money for ringside seats [at] famous events, you know," Teller told the AP in a rare bout of … speaking. He added, though, that he thought Penn "danced amazingly. He was perfectly in time, his footwork was amazing. I think the judges just have a blind spot for grace in men with size 14 shoes."

The odds against Penn becoming this season's "Dancing" champ were 30-1, so Teller stood to make $150,000, according to the AP.
