"David is so passionate about his work. I love that," she tells ET. "[When that happens], you can go places you didn't think you could."
Elizabeth is also the host of "Step it Up and Dance," premiering Thursday, April 3 at 11:00 p.m. on Bravo. The new unscripted series follows 12 very talented dancers as they attempt to learn new styles of dance. The winner will walk away with the $100,000 grand prize.
"One of the reasons that I really wanted to be a part of this show is -- especially in the world of reality television right now where there's this kind of strange democracy of fame, if you will -- what I truly love about this show is it's really about the artistry. It's about working hard, going after your dreams and, I think, it's going to be a great reminder for people of what it really, really takes."
When not performing, Elizabeth conducts self-esteem workshops for school-age girls in an effort to create a safe place for the participants to talk about issues such as body image, self-confidence or health matters. In addition, she has created a Web site, ask-elizabeth.com, to reach out to young women everywhere.
