The former teen queen will play a mom in a new TV pilot.
MOLLY RINGWALD is back! The former 'Breakfast Club' and 'Sixteen Candles' sweetheart is all grown up and will star in a new TV show as the mother of a teenager (SHAILENE WOODLEY, who has been featured in "Crossing Jordan" and "The O.C.") who is dealing with an unexpected pregnancy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new untitled pilot from "7th Heaven" writer BRENDA HAMPTON will also star JOHN SCHNEIDER and ERNIE HUDSON and air on ABC Family in the fall.
Now 40 years old, former '80s teen queen Ringwald has spent much of her adult career on the stage, appearing on Broadway in Cabaret and Enchanted April, in a national tour of Sweet Charity and Off-Broadway in a variety of plays.
