BEYONCÉ and JAY-Z have tied the knot, People reports. The mag's source says the wedding happened early Friday night: "Jay wanted it to be a really private affair -- close friends and family." The mag also reports that after the wedding, the festivities continued at Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment, where the couple of six years enjoyed a luxurious party attended by celeb friends including GWYNETH PALTROW and CHRIS MARTIN.

According to OK mag, in addition to MATTHEW, TINA and SOLANGE KNOWLES, Jay-Z's mother GLORIA CARTER was also in attendance -- as were "Destiny's Child" members MICHELLE WILLIAMS and KELLY ROWLAND. ET cameras captured the star guests arriving around 7 p.m. ET. The celebration continued early into Saturday morning.

Throughout Friday, ET captured exclusive peeks at some of the lavish decorations adorning the V.I.P. affair, including custom flowers and silver candelabras, and Beyonce's possible bouquet. (One source told us that more than 60,000 white, custom designed flowers were flown in express from Thailand!) We also dished on the extravagant wedding-arrangements within Jay-Z's apartment.

A neighbor of the rapper told our sources that preparations for the wedding had been in the works since Tuesday. He said he's seen Jay-Z and Beyonce a few times since they moved in to the apartment a week ago -- and that they've been ideal neighbors!
