The action star talks about losing his one-time co-star.

California Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER spoke out on the death of friend CHARLTON HESTON over the weekend. Heston had battled Alzheimer's since 2002. He was 84.

"MARIA and I were deeply saddened to learn of Charlton Heston's death. Charlton entertained millions of people around the world during his legendary film career and his many larger-than-life roles will live on forever.  I had the privilege of working with him in my movie 'True Lies,' and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and his wonderful family.

He cared deeply about his craft and he loved his family, his work and his country with all his heart. Charlton also faced his illness with all the courage and steadfastness he displayed throughout his extraordinary life, and he will be missed by the countless fans who loved and were inspired by him over the years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his devoted wife, LYDIA, and the rest of his family."
