ET confirms the news that divorce proceedings between SEAN PENN and his longtime wife ROBIN WRIGHT PENN have been dismissed.

The couple filed for divorce in December. The twosome began dating in the early '90s and have two children together: DYLAN FRANCES, 16, and HOPPER JACK, 14.

Oscar winner Penn, 47, and 'Princess Bride' star Wright, 42, starred together in 'She's So Lovely' (1997) and 'Hurlyburly' (1998). Penn has recently gathered critical acclaim for his latest directorial effort 'Into the Wild.'
