This coming Monday night, SHANNON ELIZABETH and DEREK HOUGH will tackle the samba when they take to the ballroom floor for the "Dancing with the Stars" competition. But first, the dancing pair interview each other for ET!

Derek, who injured his neck last week during rehearsals, asked, "When I went to the hospital, did you think you were going to have to get another partner?"

To which Shannon replied, "I didn't really think I would have to get another partner because I know how you are. You are pretty stubborn and hardheaded and you would do anything you could to get back out there. I was telling the truth when I said I wish you would recover rather than push yourself and come back because you thought I wanted you to. I would rather you heal properly and I would just dance with somebody I couldn't win the same with."

Then Derek asked Shannon if he is too hard on her. And she said, "No. Sometimes you get ahead of yourself. You will teach me the feet and then you will tell me the hands are wrong and I haven't gotten that far. I work my way up the body. I want you to give me advanced moves to try and see if I can do them. If I can, that is how we are going to kill the competition."
