Just in! BRITNEY SPEARS was in an accident at approximately 8:30 Saturday night while driving on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles. California Highway Patrol tells ET that the pop princess was driving her white Mercedes in stop-and-go traffic when she was involved in a collision with a man driving a Nissan 350 Z.

Police say she rear-ended the car in front of her which then pushed into another car. Officers arrived on the scene and administered a Breathalyzer test to Britney. She was reportedly released and driven straight home by her bodyguard, who was riding as a passenger. There were no injuries and minimal damage was seen on the vehicles.
