ET has your "Dancing" scoop!
The competition continued to amp up on Monday night, as the celebs took to the dance floor on ABC's hit "Dancing with the Stars."
JASON TAYLOR and EDYTA SLIWINSKA opened the night with their sultry cha cha. The judges had mixed reviews, granting them a score of 24 out of 30. Judge LEN GOODMAN said, "My heart went out to you, you made me smile, because you were trying to count." Judge BRUNO TONIOLI said he was "flamboyant" and "cheeky" but the "footwork wasn't as good as it could have been." Judge CARRIE ANN INABA, meanwhile, said he had "big man syndrome" and also noted, "You're dancing smaller than you should be."
Up next were SHANNON ELIZABETH and DEREK HOUGH with their romantic rumba, which also earned a 24. Bruno called their dance "sizzling" while Len said the pair was "all over each other like a rash." However, Bruno also criticized Shannon's lack of hip action and Carrie Ann said that while Shannon had a lot of potential, "[What] we're looking for [goes] beyond potential."
MARLEE MATLIN and FABIAN SANCHEZ took the floor with their mambo, which, though the judges were impressed, didn't win them a high score; they got a 21. Len called the deaf actress an "inspiration" and also said, "I think you prove that the only limitations you have are the ones you put on yourself." Carrie Ann and Bruno agreed that Marlee impressed them, but all three judges thought the dance wasn't entirely up to par.
CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE and CHERYL BURKE's foxtrot won over the judges, who gave them their best score yet -- a 27! Len called it their "best dance," while Bruno said he was "Cristian at his dashing best," and Carrie Ann said they did a "great job."
MARISSA JARET WINOKUR and TONY DOVOLANI took the floor with the waltz for a score of 26. The judges were overwhelmingly pleased – both Carrie Ann and Bruno lavished praise on the Broadway star, while Len said that while she was "shaky" in the first few weeks, she "[came] out now like a true princess."
KRISTI YAMAGUCHI and MARK BALLAS' jive truly wowed the judges – nabbing the first perfect score of the season -- a 30! Carrie and Bruno both called it their favorite dance of the season so far. Bruno also said, "This really was top notch high definition entertainment," and Len called it a "smorgasbord of dance."
MARIO and KARINA SMIRNOFF's revealing rumba won them a high score of 28, but the steamy sensuality of their dance divided the judges. Len compared them to a "strumpet and a gigolo," saying it was "too raunchy." Bruno protested against Len's pronouncement: "You're starting to get too crusty and stiffy again." Bruno thought it was "fabulous" (giving it a 10) remarking on the "savage, primeval lust" of the dance. Carrie Ann, meanwhile, called it "ridiculously good."
At the end of the night, all the dancers got on the floor for a country group dance.
