Hollywood's "in" crowd flocked to last night's official Melrose Place opening of "BapeStore," a clothing and novelty store from Japan's hot streetwear designer, NIGO.
Named after Nigo's "Bathing Ape" line, BAPE sells T-shirts, cargo pants, button-down shirts, sneakers and sandals with Nigo's iconic cartoon ape and monkey logos. The streetwear has found fans in rappers and singers like CHRIS BROWN, JERMAINE DUPRI, KANYE WEST and PHARRELL WILLIAMS and 'Speed Racer' mega-producer JOEL SILVER.
'Superbad''s JONAH HILL attended and joked, "Anytime for me to be around cool hip-hop people gives me some air of coolness that does not exist."
