'League of Their Own' pals MADONNA and ROSIE O'DONNELL reunited at the premiere of Madge's new documentary, 'I Am Because We Are,' Thursday at the Tribeca Film Festival.
"I'm really excited! I can't wait to see her," Madonna said as Rosie slipped by the press.
The Material Mom says Rosie has already seen the documentary about Malawi orphans that Madonna wrote and produced, and, "She loved it. She gave me a lot of good advice."
The movie's title comes from the Bantu languages spoken in southern Africa. It refers to a Zulu concept, "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu," which means that a person is only a person through his or her relationship to others.
Madonna, who has been pursuing the adoption of DAVID BANDA, a young boy from Malawi who she's been raising since 2006, discovered the concept after visiting the country a few years ago.
"It's my attempt to capture the experience that over one million children are having in sub-Saharan Africa who have been orphaned by the AIDS epidemic."
