ET has the latest...

After weeks of rumors swirling, former "Saturday Night Live" star JIMMY FALLON will indeed take over CONAN O'BRIEN's "Late Night" chair when the redheaded funnyman moves to the "Tonight Show" in 2009, The Hollywood Reporter says.

Although NBC has declined to comment as of yet, they are expected to make an official announcement during the network's upfront event on May 12.

America has spoken, and the Top 12 contestants on the ninth season of "American Idol" have been selected. Of course, it isn't until the Top 10 that the finalists can breathe a sigh of relief because only 10 will head out on tour this summer. Tune in tonight to find out who came so close, but yet so far away, when one of the Top 12 will get their walking papers after last night's performances of songs by the Rolling Stones. "American Idol" airs tonight at 9 p.m. on FOX.
