Jennifer Love Hewitt goes to the scary movies on tonight's episode of "Ghost Whisperer."

"Ghost Whisperer"'s Melinda Gordon (JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT) meets 'Halloween''s Michael Myers on tonight's episode of the hit CBS series, in an episode entitled "Horror Show."

The haunting begins when a friend of Professor Payne's (JAY MOHR) is visited by the ghost of a dead film director, who is directing his last and final film with live actors. Melinda gets cast in the director's plot when she attempts to help the professor's friend Kylie (LEAH PIPES).

"She basically is a horror movie buff, which we don't find out until very late in the episode, and the way the ghost communicates with Melinda and [Kylie] is by putting us in famous scenes from horror movies. So I encountered a lot of people's favorite villains, I was chased around the other day by Michael Myers from 'Halloween.' It was creepy," Jennifer tells ET.

Even creepier was the scene where people crawl up from under the covers when Melinda is trying to sleep. And to show they have a sense of humor, the writers didn't ignore Jennifer's own experience in the horror genre: 'I Know What You Did Last Summer.'

"It wasn't in there in the first draft," Jennifer recalls. "I was kind of kidding with them, 'Hello! Can't we put it in there? Can't we give a little horror shout out to 'I Know What You Did Last Summer?' They said, 'Actually, we've already put it in. It will be in the notes, so it will be in one of the scenes.' It is nice they gave it a shout out, but it is a scary episode."

Following the airing of the episode on the East Coast at 8 p.m. tonight, cbsstore.com will auction off the clothes and accessories worn by Jennifer in the "Horror Show" episode.
