ET is behind the scenes at "Rules of Engagement" with stars DAVID SPADE, PATRICK WARBURTON and OLIVER HUDSON.
On tonight's episode, Russell (Spade) crashes a charity event because he is trying to hook up with one of the hot girls he spotted entering the event -- and he is forced to buy a table as a result of his pursuit, which is quite different from his real life -- now!
"If you lined up the girls I dated in high school -- which was like two -- and now, I think being on TV factors in somewhere heavily. I don't fool myself too much," he jokes. "I worked hard, did my job, did the road for years, there are some things you hope girls go, 'I like that about you.' Or they saw you on 'Letterman' and like your personality, but it is basically because I am on a TV show."
Also tonight, with his life insurance physical exam only a few days away, Jeff (Warburton) struggles to lose weight to be eligible for the "optimal male" category of fitness.
And in a case of life imitating art, Patrick jokes with ET, "It is great to be back at work. I still have a little bit of the strike fat. It was three months of eating and drinking whatever I wanted, so now that the strike is over, I should probably try to get back in shape."
"Rules of Engagement" airs tonight at 9:30 p.m. on CBS.
