People's most anticipated issue, which names the 100 Most Beautiful people in the world, hits newsstand this Friday, but the mag has already revealed its top pick this year is none other than KATE HUDSON.

But the 29-year-old mom of four-year-old son RYDER reveals she wasn't always such a glamour girl.

"I was a tomboy," she says. "I had three brothers. I was the girl with the dress on that always came back in the house filthy with scrapes and bruises."

And it's not the red carpet when she thinks she looks best, but rather first thing in the morning. "I like the leftover makeup in the morning," she admits. "You've got to wash your face but there's always the leftover eye makeup, I love that."
