In papers filed May 5 in Los Angeles Superior Court, RUSSELL SIMMONS responds to estranged wife KIMORA LEE SIMMONS' divorce petition, requesting joint custody of their two daughters.

Kimora Lee requested sole physical and legal custody of MING, 8, and AOKI, 5, but in his papers, the hip hop mogul asks for shared custody.
