ET confirms HULK HOGAN's son, reality TV star NICK BOLLEA, has been sentenced to 8 months in jail. He was taken directly from the courthouse to the jail to begin serving his sentence immediately.

Earlier today, Bollea entered a plea of "no contest" on charges of felony reckless driving in a Florida courtroom.

The 17-year-old was also given five years probation and 500 hours community service.

Bollea's charges stem from a nearly fatal August 26, '07 crash that left his friend JOHN GRAZIANO III on life support. Graziano now requires lifelong care.

Bollea's family was present for the proceedings.
