Madonna To Finance School In Malawi

MADONNA will finance construction this year on a multi-million-dollar girls' school in Malawi, the same country where she is adopting a little boy, Reuters reports.

A task force has been formed to coordinate the project, which will be on the same scale as OPRAH WINFREY'S $40 million girls' academy in South Africa, Madonna's lawyer ALAN CHINULA tells Reuters

Malawi's high court is expected to give final approval this week for Madonna's adoption of two-year-old DAVID BANDA. The pop star discovered the boy in an orphanage where his father had placed him because he could no longer care for him.
