The who's who of Hollywood is crossing the pond to France for the year's biggest film festival! The 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival kicks off today with JULIANNE MOORE's new film 'Blindness,' from the 'City of God' director FERNANDO MEIRELLES.
The film, adapted from the JOSE SARAMAGO's novel, tells the story of a doctor's wife who witnesses a plague of blindness taking over the world.
Joining 'Blindness' in the main competition is the CLINT EASTWOOD-directed drama 'The Changeling' starring ANGELINA JOLIE (who is also there to promote 'Kung Fu Panda'); 'Two Lovers,' starring GWYNETH PALTROW and JOAQUIN PHOENIX; STEVEN SODERBERGH's 4 1/2-hour epic 'Che,' starring BENICIO DEL TORO as controversial revolutionary CHE GUEVERA and CHARLIE KAUFMAN's 'Synecdoche, New York,' starring PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN.
