ET has the latest...

FOX revealed today during its upfronts that it will be adding two new dramas, three new comedies and one unscripted series to its schedule.

"Lost" creator J.J. ABRAMS is bringing his talent to the network this fall with his new fantastical thriller "Fringe," starring "Dawson's Creek" alum JOSHUA JACKSON as a member of a trio which uncover a deadly mystery and soon realize they may be a part of a bigger pattern that blurs the line between science fiction and technology.

JERRY O'CONNELL is heading to FOX this fall with his new comedy "Do Not Disturb," about a group of people who manage one of the Big Apple's hottest hotels. "At FOX we are the network that is constantly creating new ways to keep viewers entertained and engaged," said PETER LIGUORI, Chairman, Entertainment, in a press session to introduce the new schedule. "At FOX, the mindset is it is business as unusual."

With the addition of just two series in the fall and three at mid-season, KEVIN REILLY, President, Entertainment pointed out, "We didn't need a lot. We got what we needed."

One change for the mid-season schedule is the cutting back of "American Idol"'s results show from an hour to a half-hour, and despite all the criticism of PAULA ABDUL this season for messing up her comments to JASON CASTRO, the network assured reporters that the "Idol" judge would be returning for the next season of the talent search.

Also changing will be the BRAD GARRETT/JOELY FISHER comedy, "'Til Death," which is being restructured to add more characters -- and possibly lose a few.

Then in mid-season, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator JOSS WHEDON is hoping to create another cult favorite with "Dollhouse," a new action-filled drama set to debut during the midseason. It will star ELIZA DUSHKU ("Buffy," "Tru Calling") as a member of an underground group who have their personalities wiped away so they can be imprinted with new personas to take on a number of different missions.

Also coming midseason is the unscripted "Secret Millionaire," about real-life millionaires who go undercover and head to some of America's poorest areas hoping to change the lives of everyday heroes.

Meanwhile, spring will bring two new comedies. One is "The Cleveland Show," a spinoff of the popular animated series "Family Guy" and "Sit Down, Shut Up," from the creator of "Arrested Development," which tells the story of a high school staff who don't make their students their first priority!
