Prosecutors have leveled several misdemeanor charges against former NBA star DENNIS RODMAN for allegedly hitting his girlfriend at a hotel last month, the Associated Press reports.

"We look forward to a successful resolution of this misdemeanor matter," Rodman's attorney told reporters.

The 47-year-old was charged on Wednesday with spousal battery, brandishing a deadly weapon, and one count of dissuading a witness, according to the AP.

A rep for the ex-basketball star said Rodman had one drink too many before allegedly injuring the arm of girlfriend GINA PETERSON, whom is still dating Rodman, according to the rep.
