Will this year's "DWTS" champ be Kristi, Cristian or Jason?

America has voted and CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE, JASON TAYLOR and KRISTI YAMAGUCHI are the three "Dancing with the Stars" finalists. If Kristi makes it to the final two, it will be the first time in four seasons that a woman has had a shot at winning the disco-ball trophy, and she may just be the one to do it. But first, all three competitors took to the floor for a cha cha face-off.

It began with all three couples -- Cristian and CHERYL BURKE, Jason and EDYTA SLIWINSKA, and Kristi and MARK BALLAS -- performing their individual routines. And then they danced together. Cristian, of course, was still wearing an arm brace, but he is scheduled to have surgery this Friday to repair the damaged bicep muscle the handsome Latin actor tore two weeks ago while dancing the samba.

When the dance was done, head judge LEN GOODMAN began the critiques: "It takes a lot to get me excited. This really got me going," he declared. "I thought the whole idea was fantastic. Cristian: You have got great rhythm. Jason: You have an elegance about you. Kristi: You had the technique and the style -- the complete package."

BRUNO TONIOLI added: "You all did so well. Cristian: For someone who could hardly bang in the beginning, you banged like the best. Your improvement is so great to see. Jason: So impressive. Kristi: In a class of your own."

CARRIE ANN INABA pointed out, "This is the first time we have ever done this. Watching all of you here back-to-back, you get to see who is the best. Cristian: I thought you were fantastic, but some of your movements were clipped. It may be due to your injury. Jason: I felt bad, because it is your hardest dance, but you carried it. Kristi: It is ladies' night. You won that hands down."

Cristian and Cheryl scored 26 out of 30 points; Jason and Edyta racked up 24 points; while Kristi and Mark were awarded a perfect 30.

Kristi and Mark led off the second round -- the freestyle competition -- and finished to a standing ovation. Bruno enthused, "What a fusion of mambo and hip hop. You're Miss Synchronicity. This was so demanding and difficult, you made it look easy." Carrie Ann praised, "Kristi, you were the big crowd pleaser. You had every type of move. Loved it." Len said, "I am not a lover of hip hop, when it is in a Latin dance, but this held my attention from start to finish. It was quick. It had energy. I absolutely loved it." The couple scored a second perfect 30.

Jason and Edyta were next. Carrie Ann asked, "Who knew? Jason Taylor can get funky! I was really impressed. Those were the most ambitious lifts." Len admitted, "I liked the humor. The lifts were fantastic." Bruno pointed out, "If you got it flaunt it; you two definitely got it. It was like watching centerfolds -- and the dance wasn't bad either!" Jason and Edyta scored 27 out of 30 points.

Wrapping up the night's competition were Cristian and Cheryl. Len said, "I loved the Latin American flavor. I thought that was fantastic. I have to take into account that with one arm you are challenged, so some of the lifts were not up to standard." Bruno teased, "I haven't seen so much shaking since the Northridge earthquake. Great. The Latin stallion." And Carrie Ann said, "We are looking at the freestyle to tell us who is going to win this. You put it on the floor. I don't know if either one of you compared to Kristi, but you won in so many other ways. You never gave up." The judges awarded them 26 points.
