Steven Curtis Chapman's five-year-old dies after an automobile mishap.

Gospel music star STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN's young daughter died on Wednesday after being struck by an SUV driven by her teenage brother, the Associated Press reports.

The five-year-old girl, MARIA, was hit in the driveway of the family's Nashville home, a Tennessee Highway Patrol spokeswoman tells the AP, adding that several family members witnessed the incident.

Chapman's son apparently didn't see his little sister while driving. She later passed away at the hospital.
