Openly gay actor T.R. KNIGHT, who stars as George on "Grey's Anatomy," helped kick off National Gay Pride month on Wednesday night at West Hollywood's The Abbey.
ET was on hand as the actor joined the MATTHEW SHEPARD Foundation's JUDY SHEPARD and Love and Pride's UDI BEHR as they made a commitment to support the recent California Supreme Court decision to allow gay marriage and vowed to vote "no" in order to defeat the November ballot measure that would take away that hard-won right.
Couples at the event were wearing the Matthew Shepard Erase Hate pendant designed by Udi for Judy in memory of her son, who was the victim of a brutal anti-gay hate crime in rural Wyoming 10 years ago.
