JOHN STAMOS will star and produce "Killing Mr. Kissel" for Lifetime television, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The former "ER" doc will star as a real estate mogul who marries a ski instructor around the same time his younger brother weds a young socialite. While they appear to have the perfect family lives, a turn of events ultimately leads to both of the brother's deaths.

The movie is based on a true story.

"While entertaining, this story about one family's quest for the American dream that spiraled out of control also reminds us to be careful what you wish for," Lifetime Senior VP, Original Movies, TANYA LOPEZ told the Reporter.
