For her 26th book, JACKIE COLLINS is tearing a page from the rock stars she has written about and is heading across the U.S. to promote her novel in her very own tour bus.

"I've been told, it's the former MARIAH CAREY tour bus, because it's very luxurious," Jackie tells ET's MARK STEINES, who visits the novelist on board the bus before she heads out for a six-week tour. "There are two showers, there's a queen-sized bed, there's TV, there's DVDs and we're going to go right across the country."

Jackie's latest hot, Hollywood novel is Married Lovers, in bookstores today. The story is about a beautiful fitness instructor who flees her abusive husband in Australia and comes to Los Angeles, where she opens up her own fitness center and interacts with three, extremely high-powered couples, and changes their lives forever.

Married Lovers is as steamy as her past novels, and Jackie says sometimes she has to tone them down, because people wouldn't believe the truth!

"We've always had open marriages where people say they're going to do what they're going to do," she points out. "It never works out, because suddenly someone comes along one day and that person becomes more important than your husband or your wife. The scandals that go on! I've always said I'll tone my books down because real life is wilder than my books."

Jackie says she puts on music -- a little USHER or R. KELLY -- when she is writing an erotic scene to help set the mood. But she also says the sex in her books is just like real life, because she doesn't plan it. It just happens.

"I like to make the sex in my books erotic," she says. "And, I like to make it sexually equal, so nobody is hitting on anybody else. My heroine is always totally equal against any man she's going to come up against -- and he's very lucky if she comes up against him."
