ET breaks news...
ET breaks news that a lawsuit against boxing's "Golden Boy," OSCAR DE LA HOYA, has been dropped.
The defamation lawsuit was filed by MILANA DRAVNEL, a stripper who claimed to appear with De La Hoya in photos that appeared to show the boxing champ dressed in fishnet stockings and high heels. In a case of "he said, she said," the boxer has always maintained that the photos were doctored. Dravnel, on the other hand, claimed the photos were real. When De La Hoya continued to assert that the photos were fake, Dravnel drafted a lawsuit accusing him of defamation.
ET has learned that Dravnel's suit was dropped electronically on Saturday, June 7. Now, De La Hoya's attorney JUDD BURSTEIN tells ET: "Oscar de la Hoya has consistently maintained that the photos in question were doctored. His claim was confirmed by a highly esteemed expert. In addition, of course, Ms. Dravnel herself admitted last September that the photos were doctored.
"We had little doubt that the case would have been dismissed, in which case Mr. De la Hoya would have successfully sued her for fraud and extortion. The jig was up, and she wisely decided to walk away."
