Mark Wahlberg Premieres Spooky New Movie in NYC

 

MARK WAHLBERG premiered his new frightfest, 'The Happening,' at New York's Ziegfeld Theater on Tuesday night.

Wahlberg's co-stars ZOOEY DESCHANEL, JOHN LEGUIZAMO, ASHLYN SANCHEZ and the film's director M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN also came out for the big night. ABIGAIL BRESLIN walked the red carpet to support her big brother SPENCER BRESLIN, who also stars in the film. Other celebs who made an appearance included MISCHA BARTON and JUDAH FRIEDLANDER.

The new thriller from Shyamalan is set in a time when a pandemic is spreading throughout the world. Wahlberg's character must flee the spreading chaos with his estranged wife (Deschanel) and a friend's daughter (Sanchez).

'The Happening' marks Shyamalan's first R-rated cinema offering, and the creepy pic will debut on the spooky Friday the 13th of June.
