Kristy Lee Cook and Syesha Mercado talk about their upcoming wedding plans.
One thing that Kristy Lee Cook and Syesha Mercado won't be able to take with them on the "Pop-Tarts™ Presents American Idol Live! Tour 2008" tour is their fiancés. There is a no-family-members-allowed-on-the-tour-bus rule.
But that doesn't mean that the songbirds will have to go the entire summer without seeing their intendeds.
"They can meet up with us at different cities," Syesha tells ET. "I am sure we are not going to have a lot of time to spend with them, but we will get to see them."
Syesha, who has already relocated from Miami to California to pursue her career, says she hasn't made any wedding plans yet: "I am focused on the tour right now, so I don't know how everything is going to play out as far as plans for the wedding."
But Kristy Lee, who earlier told ET she is targeting next June as her wedding date, has put a little more thought into her wedding plans, since the night last April that her fiancé, Andy Dobner, dropped down on one knee on "American Idol Extra" and asked her to be his wife.
"I definitely want all the 'Idols' to be there for the wedding. The main thing I have been thinking about is who I want in the wedding," she tells ET, "and, obviously, Brooke [White] is going to be one of the bridesmaids."
This is news to Michael Johns, who interrupts Kristy Lee to inquire, "Obviously?" Then the Aussie hunk, who the other "Idols" say is the joker in the group, kids, "I am going to be the flower boy. No, I will get my license and [perform the ceremony] -- and I won't swear!"
Kristy Lee did get to spend a nice amount of time at home between her "Idol" ousting and the beginning of rehearsals for the tour -- and a great deal of that was spent on the back of a horse! To do so, she had to replace the horse
that she had to sell in order to afford her "American Idol" journey.
"The new one is named Captain and he looks just like the one that I sold," she says. "He has the same granddad."
The 49-city "Pop-Tarts™ Presents American Idol Live! Tour 2008" kicks off on July 1.
