ET confirms that four of Hollywood's most influential celebs, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle, are using their star power to help bring aid to the victims of Burma's Cyclone Nargis.
Not On Our Watch, the organization established by the actors, along with producer Jerry Weintraub, bought a full-page ad appearing in the region's local newspapers denouncing the Burmese ruler for not allowing relief into the country.
"General Than Shwe has demonstrated time and time again that he does not have the interests of the Burmese people at heart. He has consistently misled the international community, offering empty promises of national reconciliation while perpetrating flagrant violations of human rights. Burma's neighbors remain some of the only hopes for these victims who are struggling to survive," said Alex Wagner, Executive Director of Not On Our Watch.
Last month the group announced it will give $250,000 to Save the Children for relief efforts to families following the cyclone. Not On Our Watch will also match with a $250,000 contribution of its own for the relief effort, which has been hampered by the Burmese military government's reluctance to allow aid workers into the country.
