Jeffrey Donovan is hot as former spy Michael Westen. Gabrielle Anwar is sexy as his ex-girlfriend-trying-to-be-current-gf Fiona Glenanne. And Sharon Gless adds the perfect comic touch as Michael's meddling mother on the second season of USA Network's "Burn Notice," set in steamy Miami.

"The writers have brought Sharon more into a personal connection with Michael Westen," Jeffrey tells ET. "So I think you're going to see more of a true mother-son relationship, less antagonistic than you saw in the first season and more of she's becoming a bit of an ally. But, I think, as the season goes on, you'll see him actually care more about her and the life that they used to have. I think it's going to get deeper, actually."

And as for the sexual tension between Michael and Fiona, the former "Another World" star declares, "That's a crazy relationship that's going to have its ups and downs. And it's going to go left, right and all around, and it'll be exciting. Some of the episodes I actually don't read until I get on the set that day just so I can see what crazy thing she's going to do to me that day."

"Burn Notice" returns for its second season on Thursday, July 10 at 10 p.m. on USA Network.
