ET was on hand for the premiere of Kelly Preston's new TV movie "The Tenth Circle," where she talked about the news of Heather Locklear battling depression.
"Half the time the medication makes you depressed and makes you feel suicidal," she said. "My heart goes out to her. I just hope that she is able to get better. I don't believe that drugs are the answer. I think they can exacerbate a situation."
Meanwhile, in 'The Tenth Circle,' Kelly plays a wife and mother who is having an affair with a younger man in "The Tenth Circle," a new movie for Lifetime TV. So she not only gets to do sexy scenes with the hunky younger man, but also with the actor who plays her husband.
Does that mean that she didn't want her real-life husband John Travolta to see the film?
"John has seen it and he loved it," she tells ET on the red carpet for the premiere of the movie. "I warned him, but it is not that bad. It is television. I screened it for him. He said, 'This should be a feature film.'"
"The Tenth Circle" is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Jodi Picoult, and will premiere on Saturday, June 28 at 9 p.m.
Kelly also weighed in on the looming actor's strike. She is hoping that the upcoming Screen Actors Guild contract negotiations take a positive turn, so a strike can be averted.
"It is just not the time," she says. "There are very important issues, but if there were a way to potentially take a break until the economy picks up, until the business has gotten back on its feet... People have lost their homes and things that are really dear to them. If we could make this work and not strike, I think we are all rooting for that."
