Helena Bonham Carter is reportedly leaving her quirky, smaller flicks behind (for now) and heading for the big-budget action genre.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Brit actress, known for her roles in 'Sweeney Todd,' 'Corpse Bride' and 'Howards End,' is in talks to star in 'Terminator Salvation,' the fourth installment of the popular franchise.

Although details of her potential role have been kept under wraps, it has been revealed that Christian Bale also stars in the film, which began shooting last month in New Mexico and is scheduled to hit theaters May 22 of next year.
