After the first day of her bitter divorce trial with Peter Cook ended Wednesday afternoon, Christie Brinkley addressed the press at a conference, saying, "You know, it's been a really long day, and I heard a lot of new things that I didn't know, and so I really think I'm not going to comment right now; I need some time to let it all absorb."

Appearing overwhelmed, Christie deferred to her lawyer, who added, "It's been a really tough day as well as a long day, and we've got to be back tomorrow, so everybody needs to rest and the lawyers need to prepare, and we appreciate all the attention that all of you people have been giving."
