Michael J. Fox to Guest Star on 'Rescue Me'?

Michael J. Fox may join the cast of "Rescue Me" for a multi-episode story arc during its upcoming fifth season, according to EW.com.

If a deal is reached, Fox would play a love interest for Denis Leary's character's ex, Janet, played by Andrea Roth. A spokesperson for FX has confirmed that Fox is considering appearing on the firefighter dramedy, and EW.com speculates an arrangement should be made since Fox and Leary are longtime friends.

The former "Spin City" and 'Back to the Future' star, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, was last seen on TV in 2006 as a guest on "Boston Legal."

The fifth season of "Rescue Me" is expected to premiere in March 2009.
