Hearing had been scheduled for Tuesday.
ET has confirmed that the final hearing in Britney Spears' custody case has been postponed until Friday.
The hearing was scheduled to take place Tuesday, but the attorney for Britney's ex Kevin Federline, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told OK! magazine that he needs more time to prepare for the hearing.
Kaplan said the delay did not have anything to do with any kind of settlement in the case. "It's more for technical reasons in a complicated case like this," he told OK!.
A previous mediation aimed at ending Britney and Kevin's custody case failed, leaving the options open for sole legal and physical custody of their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
