ET has the latest...
Christian Bale has issued a statement denying an allegation that he assaulted his mother and sister in London.
The statement, released to ET by his lawyer Simon Smith, reads: "Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."
ET obtained the first shot of the Dark Knight' star since he was arrested and questioned by police in London earlier today,
reportedly over an allegation that he assaulted his 61-year-old mother Jenny and his 40-year-old
sister Sharon.
This shot shows Bale leaving a local police station after London's
Daily Mail said he was questioned for four hours. People.com reports
that after Bale bailed in a blacked-out silver Mercedes, a 10-man police
escort accompanied him to London's Dorchester Hotel through an
underground entrance.
It was in Bale's ritzy suite at the Dorchester that the alleged family
feud took place one day before the 'Dark Knight''s big London premiere.
Britain's Press Association reported the actor's mother and
sister filed a complaint with police on Monday, alleging that
Bale lashed out at them at the hotel.
ET has confirmed that Bale is still planning to join the rest of the 'Dark Knight' cast for a premiere on Wednesday in Barcelona, Spain.
