After recovering from a third surgery for an injured neck, Ed McMahon is back at work as a product pitchman with a little help from Jimmy Kimmel, according to The Associated Press.
The former "Tonight Show" sidekick just filmed four tongue-in-cheek Pontiac commercial segments for Kimmel's late-night talk show which will begin airing Monday night on ABC.
"It felt very good to be out of the brace and working again," says McMahon. "I spent my whole life doing commercials, so here I was back doing a commercial again. It was very comforting. Believe me."
In pointing out the virtues of the Pontiac G8, G5, G6 and Vibe, one spot shows McMahon teaching Kimmel the right way to sell a product, while another has the pair readying for a road trip to Mexico.
The commercial work is a positive step for the embattled former "Star Search" host, who has been fighting foreclosure on his Beverly Hills home as well as multiple lawsuits, including one against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and one against him by Citibank to recoup a loan.
