Coming up: A big guest spot on a hit crime show.

He might not be returning to his famed Beverly Hills stomping ground on "90210," but Luke Perry is making his way back to the small screen nonetheless on "Law & Order: SVU."

According to Entertainment Weekly, Perry will appear in the crime series' September 23 season premiere, reportedly playing one-half of a foster-parent couple suspected to be abusing their child.

EW says the hotly anticipated episode will also feature guest stars Sara Gilbert ("ER") and Julie Bowen ("Lost").
