John Mayer says he doesn't want to ban paparazzi, he just wants overzealous photographers to be regulated. Mayer and two other celebrities went before Los Angeles city officials today, asking for control measures to protect them from paparazzi.

John said in the hearing, "I don't sit before you today to ask that you ban the paparazzi. I'm asking you to regulate it, officialize it, tax it, legitimize it."

Milo Ventimiglia of "Heroes" and actor Eric Roberts also went before officials.
