Beloved comedian Jerry Lewis opens up to our Jann Carl and talks for the very first time about being detained in Las Vegas on July 25 after a security guard found a gun in his luggage.
Jerry explains why he even had a gun in the first place.
"I had a gun in my carrying case," he tells Jann. "Which was given to me by a marvelous, marvelous engraver. And last year at the telethon of '07 he presented me with this gorgeous gift. I put it in that traveling case, and I hadn't traveled since that telethon until that day."
The .22 caliber gun was discovered by a security guard when Jerry was on his way to Michigan with his road manager Jeff.
"When [Jeff] asked me if I had a gun, I said, 'I know what I packed Jeff.' Then it all flashed, a whole year flashed in front of me."
Does Jerry -- who was given a citation and a fine -- have any regrets about the incident? Watch Thursday's ET for the full interview to find out.
