ET breaks the news that Jason Mesnick, 32, will be the next star of "The Bachelor" coming to ABC in January 2009.

Female fans crumbled after he dropped to one knee, proposed marriage and got turned down on the season finale of the latest installment of ABC's "The Bachelorette." But now he'll have another shot at finding true love!

Mesnick, the single dad and Seattle-based account executive, will have another shot at finding love while dating 25 hopeful contestants.

Mesnick is a sports enthusiast who is looking for women with a passion for life.
