ET debunks the report that French actor Jean Reno had a heart attack, something first reported by various European papers.

"Reports that actor Jean Reno is in the hospital due to a heart attack are false," his publicist tells ET. "He is vacationing in the Caribbean and went to a local hospital as a precaution for some discomfort he was feeling due to heartburn and gastroenteritis. It was definitely not a heart attack. He is fine and healthy and enjoying the rest of his vacation traveling in the Caribbean."

Reno's publicist even joked that she thinks he just had too much spicy food on his vacation.

Earlier today, a number of publications reported Reno was airlifted into intensive care at a Caribbean hospital on Wednesday in serious condition.

In addition to numerous French films, the versatile 60-year-old actor has appeared in such big-budget Hollywood films as 'The Da Vinci Code,' 'Mission: Impossible' and the recent 'Pink Panther' remake. He is perhaps best known for his turn as a sensitive hit man opposite a young Natalie Portman in 'The Professional.'
