Ben Affleck is heading to Denver for the Democratic National Convention next week, but instead of giving a speech at the main event, the actor will play poker to highlight a political cause.

Affleck will take part in a poker tournament on Tuesday to benefit disabled veterans, playing hands against fellow celebs Sarah Silverman and Seth Myers

While in Denver, the actor will also participate in an event by America's Second Harvest, which packs lunches for local food banks, and will sit on a panel discussion on world poverty.

Affleck has traveled to remote areas of the world to call attention to poverty and other global issues.
