Oprah's best gal pal, Editor-at-Large of O magazine
and radio host Gayle King weighs in on Hillary Clinton's big night at the Democratic National Convention -- and her reaction may not be what you'd expect!
"I gave it a seven," Gayle tells ET's Kevin Frazier about the New York Senator's Tuesday night speech. "I really wanted to hear her to really encourage her supporters to really, truly rally behind them; to really make it clear that Barack Obama is the candidate."
On the flip side, Gayle remarks, "I thought she looked stunning, and I loved her sense of humor; I loved that 'sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits' [reference] ... I thought she was very energized, she was very enthusiastic and I though her delivery was flawless."
"I admire Hillary Clinton very, very much, but maybe my expectations were too high," she continues. "But I really got a kick out of people calling to chastise me to say, 'No, she hit it out of the park.'"
Live broadcasts of "The Gayle King Show" are airing on XM's "Oprah & Friends" channel (XM 156) at 2pm Eastern time all this week, with encores airing throughout the day.
