Jennifer Hudson belted out an amazing rendition of the national anthem Thursday afternoon at Mile High Stadium in Denver to kick off the final day of the Democratic National Convention.

Earlier this week, the 'Dreamgirls' Oscar winner and former "American Idol" contender broke the news to ET that she felt honored to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" on the night Barack Obama accepts the nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention. Jennifer, who calls Barack a "great role model," said that she had never yet sang for such a large crowd.

"This is definitely one of the biggest honors for me," she told ET. "It's something that I've really wanted to do."

Jennifer will release her self-titled debut album on Sept. 30.
