'Private Practice''s Kate Walsh: Bristol Palin's Life Should Be Private!

Kate Walsh and Amy Brenneman spoke to ET last night at the "Private Practice" DVD release party about the controversy swirling around Republican VP running mate Sarah Palin and her 17-year-old unwed pregnant daughter, Bristol.

"I agree with Obama that family life is your family life and that's private," Kate told ET.

Kate was also happy to reveal a taste of what's coming up for her "Private Practice" character Addison Montgomery.

"Addison is dating and you will see more of Officer Nelson (David Sutcliffe)," she says.

But don't count out Pete (Tim Daly). Kate tells ET, "They still work together. There is a lot of romance and fire!"

The first season, extended-edition DVD of "Private Practice" hits store shelves on Sept. 16. Then look for the second season of the medical drama to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
