Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson and a growing-up-quick Dakota Fanning were dressed to kill at the premiere of 'The Secret Life of Bees' at the Toronto International Film Festival Friday night -- and ET's Jann Carl was there for all the buzz!
"It was just beautiful; it was an opportunity to be loving, and nurturing, and caring in a role, and to be connected to people," Latifah says about her on-set experience.
"This experience was different mostly because it was pretty much all women on set," says Dakota. "It was probably one of the greatest experiences of my life."
In theaters October 17, 'The Secret Life of Bees' is set in South Carolina in 1964 and follows the moving tale of Lily Owens (Fanning), a 14-year-old girl determined to escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father.
Taken in along with her caretaker (Hudson) by a family of independent sisters (Latifah, Keys, Sophie Okonedo), Lily learns to find happiness in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping and honey making. But will her new life crumble when her father tracks her down?
