'Star Trek' Actor George Takei Marries Partner After 21 Years

George Takei is beaming up big smiles after he finally trekked down the aisle with his  partner of 21 years on Sunday.  Known for his role as Commander Hikaru Sulu on "Star Trek," the 71-year-old actor married Brad Altman, age 54, in front of 200 guests.

The ceremony was held at the Democracy Forum of the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

The wedding was a Trekkies' dream as Takei's 'Star Trek' co-stars were apart of the ceremony: Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) as best lady and Walter Koenig (Chekhov) as best man.

Takei and Altman were the first couple to receive a marriage license in the City of West Hollywood when California began issuing them to gay couples on June 17.
